Helping Hands

    Mission

Our mission as a ministry of Community Bible Church is to show God’s love to his flock in tangible ways. We move things, we do lawn work, and we do pretty much anything that will give an actual helping hand to someone in need.

Contact Larry & Angela Jones for more info.

    Christmas Program

It is time to start planning our annual Christmas Hamper and Cheer Baskets. This year has been quite a different year. Many things have had to change as a result of COVID-19. CBC’s Christmas Hamper/Cheer Basket program is no exception. This year  we are going to have to make some changes to the program. Angela and I hope that you will offer some grace as we work through some of the logistics.

    Hampers
We will be making up Christmas hampers to send out to families in need. We will not be able to have the usual Christmas tree where you could pick up tags. We are going to put our trust in God and good communications that people will bring in food donations that are suitable for a Christmas dinner.

    Cheer Baskets
We will also be making up cheer baskets this year for those you feel may need encouragement. They will also look a little different. We are unable to accept any home baked treats. We will accept donations of wrapped candies and chocolates and diabetic suitable treats to go into the baskets. Once again Angela and I will handle the wrapping of these baskets to reduce the number of hands on these cheer baskets.

    Submissions
ALL submissions need to be sent by email or phone/text to:
    helping-hands@communitybible.ca; 519-317-6069.

    Submissions
need to be in by December 6.

Donations will be accepted on Sundays and by e-transfers (please add your name and indicate they are for the Hampers in the "Message" box) to payment@communitybible.ca

    Packing Day
This year, we have decided that the safest method for packing the hampers would be for Angela and I to pack the Hampers/Cheer Baskets along with a couple close friends from our social circle to keep contact low.
Pick up as usual will be on December 9 at CBC between noon-4pm.

Thank you for helping to bless those in need in our community this Christmas Season!
